UFC chief Dana White was nevertheless impressed by Diaz’s performance in his comeback fight

Although Diaz, 38 showed glimpses of his former self, it was evident that his six-year hiatus had had a negative effect on his abilities.

Although Stockton's slugger was defeated by Ruthless in the third round, White was still impressed with his performance.

He stated that Nick Diaz looked amazing considering he hadn't fought for five years [six] of his life.

"I didn't know what to expect. It's impossible to predict what you might get from the [Diaz] brothers. But let me tell ya, after a five year layoff, I thought he looked incredible.

Robbie was covered in freaking lumps and knots after the fight. They went to war.

"I thought Robbie was going to just go out there, buzz-saw through me -- but that wasn't the case."

White, like the rest of the world isn't sure if Diaz's disastrous rematch against Lawler will be his last outing in the octagon.

He said, "I don’t know" when asked about the next move of the older Diaz brother.

"I don't really know the answer to that question but he looked great."

"That kid has a huge heart. He's clearly a super talented fighter. And yeah, I was impressed."

The post-fight interview with Diaz did not answer MMA fans' lingering queries about his future.

UFC commentator Daniel Cormier said that he was glad he at least put on an event.

"I knew it was coming, Old Rob. This one was stressful, especially because I was off for so long.

"I have no excuses. It had been a long time since I was last here and I knew it was coming.

"I don’t know how this fight was set up.

"I had to make a change in my entire management setup and how the fight was set up.

It was a bum wrap. But no excuses. It was obvious. He was in excellent shape."
