The Brazilian will be taking on Islam Makhachev, a Dagestani fighter, for the vacant lightweight title at UFC 280
McGregor has yet to fight, but he will be competing with Islam Makhachev, a grappling phenom, for the vacant 155lb title at UFC 280 in Oct.
Oliveira admitted that he is excited to be the Dagestani's destroyer. It's obvious to everyone.
"I wanted the huge payment from the other fight. But, everyone knows I am a UFC employee. That is a fact you can't ignore. We tried to negotiate from all angles.

Oliveira, a new fan favourite, said: "I would choose Conor if it was possible but he's silent.
"So Makhachev popped up and he is deserving of all the respect in the universe."

Charles Oliveira hoped his next fight would be against Conor McGregor
He stated that "Unfortunately, the fight did not come to Brazil or neutral territory, it went on to their territory."
"But, you saw what happened when the bird went to Gaethje’s house, and it will not be different this time."
McGregor, a former two-division champion, is currently recovering from the terrible broken leg that he sustained in his fight with Dustin Pourier last July.
In a tweet voice note, the Irishman said: "I'm buzzing cuz... I want to return."
"Good fights, good fight nights, good cards, and good pay-per view inspire millions all over the globe.
"Thank you so much for all the entertainment. I'll be seeing you soon."
