Covington said to TMZ, "You know what? I was just talking with Donald Trump yesterday."
"I know that he has a huge rally that day so it's not certain if he will be able make it.
"But I am certain that after every fight, I'll be able to have my daily phone call with him. He'll definitely be calling me.
"It's incredible to have [their] support. I feel the same energy as I do from Trump.
"I call it dragon energy and I'm going unleash that dragon energy next weekend."
Two years ago, the first meeting between these two men took place at UFC 245 with Usman defeating Covington in round five with a TKO finish.
