CONOR MCGREGOR revealed that his January fight with Dustin Poirier resulted in 1.5 million purchases.
Seven years after winning their first clash by knockout, the Irishman was defeated in round two of his rematch against Poirier.

McGregor shared a photo of the check he received following the fight on Fight Island, Abu Dhabi.
It was clear that the fight exceeded 1.5 million buys. This made it the fifth largest PPV in UFC history.
In July, the pair faced off again and Poirier won.
McGregor was injured in the first round. The doctor stopped the fight.
Despite the disappointment, the fight sold 1.8 million tickets, surpassing all UFC events except McGregor's defeat by Khabib Nurmagomedov (2018).
Khabib McGregor's 2.4 million buys made it the UFC's only event to surpass the two million mark.
However, this is not the Irishman’s greatest PPV fight sport in his entire career.
McGregor was a complete sham when he switched to boxing to face Floyd Mayweather.
Their cross-over bout attracted 4.3 million buys in the US and narrowly missed the record of 300,000.
Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather set the 2015 PPV sales record for combat sports with 4.6 million viewers.
UFC boss Dana White stated earlier this year that McGregor and Poirier want to fight for the fourth time.
White stated immediately after the clash that it was "sucks" and that it was brutal. This is not how you want to see fights end. Dustin Poirier will be fighting for the title.
"And once Conor is fully healed, you can do the rematch. "I don't know."
