Conor McGregor's Dream Fight
Conor McGregor recently took part in a Q&A session on Twitter, where he revealed his dream bout. When asked who he would most like to rematch, McGregor responded with a surprising answer.
Targeting 'Fighting's Biggest Chicken'
The Irishman expressed his desire to face off against "fighting's biggest chicken." McGregor, 35, made it clear that he wants a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov, with whom he had one of the UFC's most heated feuds.
A Bitter Defeat
McGregor's previous encounter with Nurmagomedov in 2018 resulted in a bitter defeat for the former two-weight champion. Despite the loss, the fight garnered massive attention and broke the UFC's pay-per-view record with 2.4 million buys.
Hopes Dashed
However, McGregor's hopes for a blockbuster rematch were dashed in 2020 when Nurmagomedov announced his retirement. The unbeaten Russian made the decision following his victory over Justin Gaethje and the passing of his father and mentor, Abdulmanap. Nurmagomedov promised his mother that he would not continue fighting.

A Staggering Offer
Nurmagomedov's retirement didn't come without its temptations. He revealed that he was offered a staggering $40 million (£32.7m) to return to the octagon. However, he ultimately prioritized his personal happiness and stood by his decision to retire.
