Nurmagomedov was inducted into the MMA community with warm reception, but McGregor didn't like it. McGregor rekindled their rivalry with a cheeky tweet.

The caption that accompanied his photo read: "Proper Twelve proud maker of UFC HOF show!" You can call me The HOFF.

McGregor, 33 an ex-two-division champion, began to dream of his own induction into the Hall of Fame.

He was quick to stress that he will not be leaving the sport any time soon.

He stated that he was looking forward to his own entry into the hall of fame. The first of all.

"All the records. Knockdown speed. Knockdown amount. KO's largest divisions Financials. It's all there.

"No rush, tho I'm still interested in busting noses open and putting opps unconscious. A real goer."

McGregor called for the punch McGregor landed on Nurmagomedov’s cousin Abubakar during the UFC 229 brawl, to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

He also included a photo of him hitting the welterweight. That will go in the hall of fame.

McGregor is now in the final stages in recovering from his horrific leg injury sustained in the trilogy fight with Dustin Pourier last July.

Although the Irishman appeared to be on track for an autumn return, he has just started kicking again.

UFC President Dana White is positive that the promotion's poster child will return to action in December.

Jim Rome was asked McGregor's next fight location.

"Conor wants to return at the end this year and early next year."

He said: "Conor wants to fight when I talk to him.

"Conor receives many offers for film roles and other things that he could do to make money.

"He doesn’t want to do that." Conor is willing to fight.
