CONOR McGREGOR is a prominent figure in the sport of boxing - his impressive collection of tattoos speaks louder than any other.
The Irishman is currently recuperating from a broken leg sustained in his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
Conor McGregor was almost tattoo-free when he made his UFC debut in 2013.
McGregor was 33 when he made his UFC debut, beating Marcus Brimage by TKO on April 2013. He wasn't exactly young, but he looked completely different to the man who is currently at the top of the fight scene.
Although his trademark beard was present, the three large tattoos that he now has on his abdomen were not.
Notorious has not only added to the pieces, but he also has a large tattoo on his left forearm.
McGregor's first tattoo dates back to his youth, when he was still on holiday.

HEEL
McGregor's left heel has Arabic writing, but he doesn't know what that means.
"This was my first time drinking... I bought it in Ayia Naapa for EUR20. It could be anything.
NECK
McGregor is known to have a winged Crucifix.
Many assumed that he was Catholic because he is Irish. However, he ended up in trouble with some Irish fans after wearing an Irish poppy.

McGregor has a helix full of thorns running down his back, from the base to the small of McGregor's back.
It is not known when or how he obtained that one.
Chest
McGregor holds a silverback gorilla with a crown on its head and a heart in its hand.
This tattoo is a twist of the symbol of John Kavangah, Straight Blast Gym's coach.
McGregor stated, "I like the way it looks."
Forearm (1)
His left forearm is covered with rosebushes and a clock that shows 3.35pm. (It's not clear if this is significant). On the inside, he has a large dagger made from a separate rose.
A small stick figure is seen by his elbow in a boxing position - possibly in the Notre Dame leprechaun pose.
A man wearing a top-hat on the back of this tattoo is also visible.

This saying is used in elite military units' firearms training.

McGregor claims that he bought the tiger as a last-minute addition while on vacation in Venice.
He said, "F*** it, I'm going to get a Tiger ...' It's a brave animal," he added.
However, the Irishman has revealed previously that he is fascinated by the movement of animals and that he incorporates this into his training, studying how they hunt their prey.
