Conor McGregor was stopped by security after he lunged towards Machine Gun Kelly during the MTV Video Music Awards
TMZ claims that the row escalated when McGregor (33), asked MGK (real name Colson Baker) for a photograph. The pop star refused. Machine Gun Kelly is reported to have shoved McGregor. He reportedly spilled his drink and then threw the rest over Megan Fox and McGregor. This is not the first time that the MMA fighter has gotten into trouble. Conor claimed that Khabib Nurmagomedov, his long-time rival, had retired so that he could avoid defeat in a UFC match between them.
They had already escalated their fight with a Twitter exchange last year. McGregor called Khabib a "scurrying and hiding rat".
McGregor was also convicted of a crime in Dublin when he got into an altercation at a bar. He was fined PS850. SunSport follows McGregor's life through all the incidents... inside and outside the octagon.
Follow the bus
McGregor's future opponent Khabib Nürnbergomedov got into a minor fight with Artem Lobov, UFC 223's media representative, at UFC 223’s April 2018 media day. McGregor and 20 other people attempted to confront Nurmagomedov two days later during promotional appearances. He was about to leave the Barclays Center in New York City on a bus.
McGregor ran alongside the bus and grabbed a dolly made of metal. He threw the dolly at the bus, breaking the window. McGregor was also charged with reckless endangerment, menacing, and assault and released on bail of approximately PS38,000.
Mystic Mac appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct. He was required to do five days of community work and attend anger management classes.
Octagon has more shenanigans
McGregor's animalistic nature kicks in when he is in the Octagon. Things got tense after McGregor was forced to submit at UFC 229 in Khabib Nurmagomedov's highly anticipated bout. McGregor's trainer, Dillon Danis, was attacked by Nurmagomedov. McGregor and his cousin Abubakar Nurmagomedov were trying to leave the Octagon. They got into a fight and exchanged blows. As all hell broke loose, Nurmagomedov's cornermen Esed Emiragaev & Zubaira Tukhugov joined the fray.
The purse was held by the Nevada State Athletic Commission until an investigation was completed. After a thorough investigation, McGregor was suspended for six months and fined approximately PS38,000 by the NSAC in December 2018. McGregor, who is usually a smart man who arrives dressed for a special occasion, was not a fan of the Grand National's strict dress code. McGregor strutted through Aintree in his Louis Vuitton shirt, flaunting his abs and tattoos. He and his entourage stayed for three days, and they trashed the Presidential Suite at Liverpool Hilton as they enjoyed the gee-gees atmosphere.
However, he was retaliated against...
Terri Murray, a Liverpool mother, claimed McGregor fathered their child while he was visiting Aintree. Clodagh, her one-year-old child, was born nine months after she allegedly slept in the MMA star's bed. She demanded that he undergo a DNA test to prove this. McGregor claimed that he is not the father and that she had slept with one his friends.
McGregor and Murray appear to have their hand sliding down Murray's thigh in a photo of them taken in his hotel bathroom suite. McGregor claimed that Clodagh was not his baby after repeatedly denying that he had slept with Terri in November 2019.
Bellator 187
Notorious leapt into the cage to celebrate McGregor's win over his mate Charlie Ward. He wasn't licensed as a cornerman and the fight had not been declared over. Referee Marc Goddard intervened to stop McGregor from pushing Redmond and knocking him down when he tried getting up.
Mike Mazzulli from Bellator, the head of the commission, stated that McGregor's conduct "jeopardized health and safety" for fighters who were present in the cage during the Ireland competition. "In addition, McGregor attacked Referee Mark Goddard as well as a member of the Bellator staff."
It's time to take it up a notch
McGregor could have been a villain in James Bond's movie, Spectre battling Daniel Craig.
Producers believed he was the perfect choice for the role due to his rising popularity. He declined the role, insisting that he would rather focus on his training. McGregor stated to The Independent, "I'm no such person." McGregor said, "Ya know what? It's just a joke. Do not start doing serious things."
Get ready to dust!
McGregor began a new rivalry after considering quitting the UFC. McGregor had to quit after a painful leg injury in their last fight at UFC 264. In the build up to the fight, he claimed that Poirier's spouse Jolie was privately messaging him via Instagram. He was left fuming on the ground after his defeat and began shouting about Dustin's mistress while his rival celebrated the ring with his partner. Jolie responded by giving Conor the middle finger. This one isn’t over, you can bet.
You are barred
McGregor was caught in action in April 2019 in Dublin, punching a man before he announced his return to UFC. Website TMZ has CCTV footage that shows McGregor, a 32-year-old MMA fighter, striking the man in his 50s before being escorted away by friends. The victim, who was unflustered after the attack, remained seated on his bar stool.
