Paul claimed that the two teams had been talking "constantly" about a lucrative fight.
The Notorious' head coach, however, has not heard of any reports that Paul might be in a fight.

McGregor's long-time coach, and good friend Kavanagh hasn't heard anything about McGregor facing The Notorious.

Kavanagh answered The Mirror when asked if Paul was a possible future opponent. "He might talk all the time to Audie, but no.

"I heard about Jake Paul being managed [Chief Financial Officer] by an ex-UFC Chief Financial Officer.

"And I guess it is interesting to hear some negotiation strategies by that large organisation being leaked through Jake Paul. It's fun to follow that.

"But Conor vs Jake? I haven't heard that. I've heard some crazy things, but this has never been suggested."

McGregor, 33 years old, still has two fights on his UFC contract, but recently stated that he was open to the idea of facing Paul or his older brother Logan.

He stated that he couldn't care less about the two dingbats. Although I don't believe so, it is possible.

"If they keep competing, who knows?" They are both dingbats.

The UFC's poster child is currently recuperating from the terrible broken leg he sustained in his fight with Dustin Pourier last July.

McGregor plans to return to sparring in April, which UFC President Dana White hopes will lead him to a summer return.

White stated to ESPN that if everything goes according to plan, he should be back in the summer if all goes well with his healing.

He said, "I don't know what the landscape will look like when I return."

"So, to talk about Dustin - Dustin might be retired by Conor McGregor [comes home]].

"You never know what is gonna happen in this sport. You have to ask me this question, this [coming] season.

"When we look at what's happening in that sport division, and figure out the next steps for Conor,"

Paul, 24, has taken a break from boxing after his impressive defeat of Tyron Woodley, former UFC welterweight champion.
