Ngannou, who had been at odds with UFC brass in recent months, won his maiden title defense and he has reaffirmed his desire to box.
White didn't wrap his belt around Cameroonian's waist as he does with title fights, and he also didn’t share his post-fight thoughts with the media.
Mike Bohn, MMA Junkie journalist, tweeted: "Dana White won't be attending the #UFC270 Post-Fight News Conference per PR.
"Quite telling."
White stated that Ngannou, the unhappy fighter, would be free to leave UFC after his contract ends at the end December.
He stated, "Look, if your heart desires to be with us we'd love for you to join us."
No problem if you don't wish to be with us. It's all okay.
"I believe his contract, and I am speculating, that he has time to stay with us after the fight if he wins.
"He'd probably have another fight."
Ngannou, who had declared that he would no longer fight for $500,000 and $600,000. purses, doubled down on his desire to face Tyson Fury.
After defeating Gane's challenge, he decided to return to boxing.
In his post-fight interview, he told Joe Rogan: "As always, I always say that boxing is always within my pocket.
"It is something I must do before my career ends!"
"And right now I'm really looking forward to any opportunity to obtain that because it's hardly like I had a life here.
"So, I should start to think about it."
