Dana White says Joe Rogan did not choose to work at UFC 271 amid allegations that he was removed due to racism storm

JOE ROGAN decided not to commentate on UFC 271 this Saturday due to his history of racism.

Friday's announcement was that Jon Anik, a veteran commentator, would not join Daniel Cormier or Jon Anik in the commentary box due to a scheduling conflict.

White claims that the podcaster who was under fire did not attend the second pay per view.

He told the media at the post-fight press conference: "There is no conflict of schedule, Joe Rogan did not work tonight." Joe Rogan could have worked tonight.

Rogan was asked whether he made the decision to not appear on the broadcast. He replied, "Yeah [he chose not to work].

"I don’t know what Joe Rogan did, but you’ll have to ask Joe Rogan. It was impossible for Joe to work, or something similar. It's complete bulls**t."

White declined to confirm Rogan's return to the UFC booth for UFC 272, but he stated that Rogan would be working again "whenever he's gonna get work again."

Rogan's withdrawal from UFC 271 was made amid the racism storm that followed after historical footage of Rogan repeatedly using the N word during his podcasts became viral via social media.

Rogan said that he also walked into Planet of the Apes with friends after being dropped in a predominantly black neighborhood to see the film.

Last week, the 54-year old apologized on social media for using the racial slur. He said that he never intended to make it racist.

It's not my word to put it. Although I know that now, I have used the phrase in this manner for many years.

Joe Rogan offered a sincere apology for using the racial slur.

He said, "I hope this can be a teaching moment."

"My sincere, humble apologies. I wish I could say more. This is me speaking from the bottom my heart.

It makes me sick to watch that video. I hope you'll accept it and get my point of view.
