CONOR MCGREGOR will return to the octagon when he is able to'start taking kicks' again.
The UFC's most famous fighter is currently recuperating from the terrible broken leg he sustained in his fight against Dustin Poirier, a lightweight opponent.
Conor McGregor injured his left leg during his UFC 264 rematch against Dustin Poirier.
McGregor, 33 years old, is recovering faster than expected and feels ready to throw one of his many kicks.
UFC chief Dana White will not rush The Notorious into action until his left foot can absorb strikes. He told Jim Rome that the UFC won't allow him to return to action until that happens.
"I don’t know how fast this leg will recover.
"It will be about when he can kick again, and more importantly, when he can start taking kicks again.
"That will decide when he fights again."
White was amazed by McGregor's progress so far, and told the Australian Daily Telegraph that Conor appears to be doing well.

"If he could kick, then he would be looking at fighting before the end of this year again. So it all depends on how quickly that leg heals."
McGregor acknowledges that he is on the right track to a quick return but it has been a difficult mental journey.
Adam Glynn, a YouTuber, told him that he was "upset for a while."
"It has been difficult, you know what i mean?"
"There have been some ups and downs in this [journey].
It's one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced in my entire life. You get what I'm referring to?
"It wasn't all smooth sailing but I made it through. My family and close friends were always there for me.
"And we are getting there. "We still have a lot to do.
McGregor and his team are taking extreme precautions with the serious injury, but McGregor insists he will not let it get the best of him.
He said, "I don’t want to get ahead of myself."
"But, like I said before, I feel like a kicker now.
"I am not yet advised to kick, but I will get back, man. Are you thinking that a broken bone will stop me? You might be wrong.
