Eddie Hall takes on Mitchell Hooper in highly anticipated MMA match-up
Eddie Hall, the former World's Strongest Man, has never shied away from a physical challenge. After gaining popularity as an internet figure, Hall has announced his next combat sports fight. This time, he will be facing off against current World's Strongest Man, Mitchell Hooper, in an MMA match-up.
Hall's journey from Strongman to internet sensation
With 4.3 million followers on Instagram, Hall has established himself as a prominent figure on the internet. Since winning the World's Strongest Man title in 2017, he has captivated audiences with his training for both boxing and MMA fights. Last year, he took on Game Of Thrones actor Hafthor Bjornsoon in a highly anticipated boxing match, although he lost via unanimous decision.
Hooper's first fight poses a challenge
While Hall has experience in combat sports, this will be Hooper's first fight. As the current World's Strongest Man, he will need to train intensively to prepare for the upcoming match-up.
Date and venue confirmed
The Hall vs Hooper fight is scheduled to take place in February 2024. The exact venue has been announced as Qatar. Although the full lineup for the event has not yet been revealed, there are rumors that Hall's long-time rival Brian Shaw and British bodybuilder Martyn Ford may also appear on the card.
