Paul's unbeaten record of 4-0 has drawn criticism from his inability to face a professional boxer with previous experience.
Fury is 7-0, and has become a celebrity after his stint on Love Island in 2019. He was able to address those critics.
Paul suggested that Fury might be left 'in the dust' but the fight may prove too lucrative and well-matched to be lost.
Nate Diaz
Paul is a strong rival to Dana White's MMA promotion, having won over former UFC stars Ben Askren (37), and Woodley.
36-year-old Diaz has been fighting Paul in recent months. He has only one fight remaining on his UFC contract.
He could fulfill the last bout of his UFC contract and it would open the door to a switch to boxing.
Conor McGregor
McGregor, 33 years old, has been at top of Paul's "hit-list" for some time. He even claimed to have received a $50m offer from the Irishman last year.
He still has two fights left on his UFC contract, making it difficult to make a move in the ring.
White made an exception in 2017 when McGregor lost to Floyd Mayweather. If the money is right, McGregor could do it again.
Anderson Silva
The 46-year-old Brazilian was released by his UFC contract in 2020. He returned to boxing, where he was already 1-1.
The next step was a victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., a former boxing champion, and Tito Ortiz (46).
Silva tried to fight Paul, but the talks failed. The matchup is still possible.
Floyd Mayweather
