JOHN FURY has urged Tyson to switch to MMA after he retires from boxing - opening up the possibility of some exciting match-ups.
Fury teased on multiple occasions about his debut in MMA, but he said more recently that he would only fight in a cage if there were no takedowns or grappling.
Joe's dad said that Joe was quick and light-footed, but that Joe is strong and could do great things with a top MMA trainer.
SunSport now looks at five possible opponents for the WBC champion, 33-year-old.
Francis Ngannou
After confirming his interest in switching to boxing, Ngannou, 35 is most likely, will fight Fury in the ring.
Before he left for France, he had dreamed of becoming a fighter at the age of 22. However, MMA was more accessible and he decided to pursue it.
Ngannou, UFC champion, is still talking up boxing after calling out Anthony Joshua (32), and Dillian Whyte (33).
Dana White, UFC president, might have something to share about Fury, citing contractual obligations.

Stipe Miocic
Miocic was a former UFC champion and an accomplished amateur boxer, which helped to shape his style in MMA.
He has also spoken out about the possibility of one day putting himself into the ring with Fury, which he described as a challenge.
Miocic would be Fury's biggest challenge if he were to leap in the deep end of the UFC.
In April 2020, he once stated that "Stipe wants to box me -- that'd be a good fight for certain."
Junior dos Santos
UFC has released the Brazilian fighter and plans to end his career with big cross-over bouts.
Dos Santos was 37 years old and is well-known for his boxing abilities. Fury agreed to a two-fight fight in the ring with Dos Santos.
In 2019, he stated that it would be ideal to fight Tyson Fury as he wants in MMA and then, after a win, fight him in boxing in his world.
"He would visit my world, and then I would visit his world." It would be the pinnacle of both sports, a great moment.
Ryan Bader
Bellator has been open to the idea of combining MMA and boxing unlike UFC competitors.
Bader, 38 years old, is the current champion. He is a well-known name in the promotion, and has recently spoken up about a Fury fight.
FightHype reported that he told FightHype last season: "You train together to fight, or whatever boxing, MMA is, I'm always down."
Bader also said he was open to it in the ring and that he agreed to do it. Get the boxing money.
Greg Hardy
Hardy, 33 years old, has been to 12 MMA fights since he left the NFL amid domestic abuse allegations.
His current record is 7-4 with 1 no-contest, but his future in the UFC is uncertain after consecutive losses.
Hardy's KO power has been demonstrated, but he lacks the quality to wrestle on the ground or in clinches.
This means that he could match Fury evenly if he chooses to strike and stand, as he did in previous fights.
