JAKE PAUL vs Conor McGregor "would be competitive" as the YouTuber has a nigh THREE STONE edge, his sparring partner stated.
Paul continues to pursue a fight with McGregor in boxing, who was defeated on his ring debut in 2017 against Floyd Mayweather.
Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor "would be competitive", his sparring partner stated.
Social media star Tyron Woodley, 39 is his greatest challenge and he's currently at 3-0.
They will fight at 190lb or 13st 5lb. McGregor is naturally an 11th contender in UFC's lightweight division.
Anthony Taylor, Paul’s chief sparring partner, said that the cruiserweight boxer weighs in at 15st 3lb.
This is almost three times the weight McGregor weighs compared to McGregor's 12st 8lb.
Taylor, 32, said to Betway Insider, "You have to understand that we are not dealing with exhibitions."
"We are referring to professional boxing matches licensed and supervised by the commission, with an agreement on the weight category.
"Jake is 215 lbs and Conor is 180 lbs. He'd need to be able to lift 190 lbs.
"I believe Jake would drop to 190lbs for Conor. He's fighting Tyron at 193lbs.
Conor is a lefty, but Jake is more muscular and has greater range.
"You are dealing with a man that is heavy. It would be competitive."
McGregor flirted with the idea of a return to ring. Last year, McGregor entered negotiations with Manny Pacquiao.
After being knocked out by Dustin Poirier in January, he lost the fight to Pacquiao (42).
McGregor, 33, lost his trilogy bout with Poirier 32 seconds before the first round was over.
Since then, he has undergone surgery. He is now training, but will still need to complete the six-month suspension.
Paul has defeated 'AnEsonGib,' an online rival, while Nate Robinson, 37-year-old NBA star, and Ben Askren (37-years-old UFC welterweight), return to the ring this weekend.
Bellator lightweight Taylor sparred the American in preparation for Woodley's fight.
He also spoke out about secret sparring sessions that took place in Puerto Rico.
Taylor said: "When you put Jake in the boxing arena with a Tyron guy, Jake's going win that all day. It's because he has been practicing the repetition and the mechanics.
"Tyron technically has the punchers chance, but Jake is a better fighter."
"Tyron is a stronger fighter due to his MMA background but Jake is a superior boxer.
"There are many people who think Tyron will knock Jake out. It's the opposite. He looks great."
