After a brutal beating, the Spaniard, aged 28, was defeated in round 2.

Alvarez now holds a record of 19-3 and posted photos of the extent of his injuries to Instagram.
Tsarukyan (25), has won his five last fights and is possibly his most brutal.

"It was my goal to make him tired so that he could choke or receive a TKO. It was a great plan and I am very happy with it.

He stated, "It's my aim [to face Islam Makhachev] again."
"Because it will be a great match. Because we are the best of our division, it's going be the greatest match. "I believe so."
