John Fury believes that the Irishman copied Tyson's persona.

McGregor became a superstar in 2015 when he KO'd Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds. He continued to attract the attention of combat sports fans with his brilliance and entertaining antics.

John, however, believes they aren't new. He told Joe that Conor McGregor had watched Tyson's life and person, and he thinks he copied Tyson to some degree.

"Because Tyson liked Tyson's outspokenness, he took it up to another level."

John believes the Irishman took a page from his son's playbook but the veteran coach is a huge fan of the UFC poster boy.

Conor, 57, said that Conor was right there when he needed him, but that he was also very intelligent, articulate, and clever.

He's a master at what he does. He's a great guy to look at.

"He's a great watch. I love him.

"Great stuff, especially when you throw chairs at buses. He has taken MMA outside.

"The only man I know who has fought a bus. Only in Ireland.

WBC heavyweight champion Fury teased a move to MMA and claimed that MysticMac would prepare him for a fight.

McGregor however denied the claim and said: "Tyson keeps claiming we have spoken, and that I have told him that I would train Him, but I have never spoken with Tyson in my entire life."

"I don’t know why he says that, but it is a good story so I let it roll. He is a great man and a fantastic boxer, I heard.

"I wouldn't say that he is saying he will cross over. He would most likely do it in the time.

"We might be capable of setting something up, but I wouldn't be holding up the pads to him to hit.

"If he wants to be trained or educated, I would need him to spar with a heavyweight, do leg kicks, and fight in the bottom position.

"Then, I would evaluate it and tell him what kind of work he should do.

"It was funny that he said we had spoken, he's a madman, I have never spoken with him in my entire life."

Gypsy King Fury is currently in preparation for his fight against Deontay Wilder on October 9, which will be held in Las Vegas.

McGregor is currently recuperating from the fractured leg he sustained in his UFC 264 rubber match against Dustin Poirier.
