JORGE MASVIDAL plans to bury the hatchet against Colby Covington following their grudge match, but he will also put it in his old pal's neck.
This weekend, the former American Top Team team-mates will meet in the main event at UFC 272 in a grudge bout that has been four years in making.
Covington and Masvidal were once best friends, but they are now sworn enemies
After years of friendship, Masvidal and Covington have fallen out of love.
Masvidal, the BMF champion, isn't going to let bygones go after he gets Chaos.
According to him, the New York Post reported that he couldn't imagine himself seeing eye-to-eye in a relationship like that.
"Those are the people I don’t like. That type of marketing is not my favorite.
"It's great to have fun with your enemies. No hard feelings if someone makes fun of me.
"[Say] anything you want about me, but what does it have to do with my children?
Tell me that you think it will strike a nerve, or that it will sell more pay-per views. It's a stupid move.
"So, Colby's only hatchet is in his neck."
Masvidal, 37 years old, is a fervent fanatic who wants to smash Covington in the face and put him in critical condition.
He stated that "Covington [is]] definitely [my most] hated [opponent]. It's not personal. It's business.
"Since the beginning, I knew who I would be getting involved with and what options were available.
"It's someone I don't like at any time whatsoever.
"I hope that the referee who is trying to pull me off of him, slips on a banana Peel and I get some additional shots in. This will really change his life.
"Colby is in critical condition Monday. It's bad."
