Conor McGregor knocked Jose Aldo out in 2015.

After McGregor's left hand knocked Aldo out, almost 12 months worth of talk was reduced to 13 seconds in the Octagon.

Although it was the Brazilian's first loss in more than ten years, he was denied a rematch.

Now, six years later, Aldo has forgiven McGregor of any ill-will and supports McGregor.

Aldo, 34 years old, stated to MMA Fighting that he doesn't see himself fighting Conor.

"Never, I believe. That's all I can say. It may happen tomorrow, but it's not the way.

"I support him today. I hope he heals from his injury and fights at the highest level again to become champion again. That way, he and me will always be together.

"Regardless of whether I'm down or he's on, people will always put their names together and that's how we lift each other up.

McGregor, 33 years old, made history when he added the lightweight title to the featherweight title against Aldo.

He failed to defend either, as he was stripped of his rights due to inactivity. Aldo is now a bantamweight campaigner.

McGregor's last fight was a three-round bout against Dustin Poirier at lightweight.

Aldo is not planning to move up to 155lb and instead plans on winning the 135lb title currently held Aljamain Sterling.

He replied, "No, man. There's no way. I'm aiming for a fight for my belt. I want to build this bantamweight career and make history.

"I'm glad Sonnen and others are talking to this rematch. But I don't see me [fighting him].

"I see my next fight at bantamweight and that will bring us closer to fighting for the belt."
