JUSTIN GAETHJE made Michael Chandler look like a bloody wreck in an exciting opening fight to UFC 268's main card. This was before BOTH fighters were admitted to hospital.
It was awarded 29-28 and 29-28 by the judges. Gaethje will now be able to win a second lightweight title.

The two warriors were not allowed to speak with each other after the fight, as they were both rushed to the hospital.
It was a way to begin the main portion of UFC 268.
Both men were out with bombs. Chandler landed the most powerful shots, but Gaethje was not a shrinking violet during the exchanges.
Chandler's face was bloody at the end, and he looked surprised that Gaethje was following him in the middle.
Chandler appeared to be off balance on his lead leg at the beginning of the second.
Gaethje smashed Chandler with a brutal shot just two minutes in, but the 35-year old somehow grabbed the legs to stop the ref from stepping in.
The round ended in controversy with Chandler seemingly catching Gaethje with one finger in her eye and landing a big hook.

Many in attendance were amazed that both men had the third such ferocity, energy.
Chandler's leg was a bit stiff, but it was the bloody pouring from numerous cuts that really caught my attention.
The pace had slowed unsurprisingly. Chandler decided to take advantage of the crowd and try to outflank his opponent.
Gaethje, however, broke Tony Ferguson's win streak and continued his efforts to win the points.
