The UFC champion then told a troll to "kill themselves"

The messages said: "Whomever, you're watching my story, please kill yourself."

"2022 is just beginning, and your life revolves around others."

Next post: "Better than killing yourself." Enjoy watching my life and not yours.

It is unknown who his anger was directed towards.

He later used Snapchat to explain the reasons he had posted the messages.

The Nigerian Nightmare stated: "Let's clear this up, that was hard. It was 4 AM in the morning. It was a bit slizzered. I also typed it the wrong way.

"Let me say it again for the hater. You know who you are. That particular hater that keeps watching my story to give you something to hate about.

"Choke yourself, it's just me saying it now. To all my other fans, my true fans, I love and appreciate them guys. I have always done and will continue to do so.

Usman was last seen in action in November when he retained his title as welterweight with a unanimous points victory against bitter rival Colby Covington.

After his second consecutive victory over Covington, the pound-for pound king declared himself the king in the jungle. He said: "I am currently the best pound for dollar alive."

After his win, he also admitted that he had broken his hand during the preparations for the fight by punching Justin Gaethje in the head during a sparring session.

Usman has an amazing run of 19 consecutive MMA wins. This streak dates back to his 2013 pro fight, when he lost to Jose Caceres.

He has been a dominant figure in the UFC and is now looking to boxing for possible challenges.

The welterweight champion called Canelo Alvarez, a pound-for-pound boxing superstar, for a crossover match earlier in the month.
