McGregor's plans to launch his quest for UFC lightweight gold, before taking on Pacquiao, have not worked out as he hoped.

The 32-year old lost twice to Dustin Poirier in Octagon. In the second bout, disaster struck as he broke his leg at UFC 264.

McGregor is on the road to recovery and expects great things when he returns.

If PacMan's coach Justin Fortune believes, there could be a possible boxing comeback against Paul, not Pacquiao.

Fortune advised McGregor to speak with DAZN: "Fight Logan Paul because he's big and deserves it." Logan Paul is a good guy, and he has some skills.

"At the moment, they're making tons and nobody is getting hurt. That's all fine and good. But if they start fighting serious men, someone is going to be seriously hurt."

Paul, 26, lost his professional debut against Brit KSI but impressed many by his ability to survive eight rounds with Floyd Mayweather in June.

Pacquiao may now have entered the ring professional for the last time after losing to Yordenis Urgas in Las Vegas.

The 42-year-old star said that Manny Pacquiao may not fight again in the ring in the future.

"I don't know. However, for how many decades, I have been so satisfied with my boxing achievements.

"I also contribute a record to boxing and make boxing the best."

"And bring honor to my country and the Filipino people.

"I am proud to be Filipino and grateful to all my fans around the globe."
