MMA, I will never forget you! Conor McGregor teases UFC retirement AGAIN, despite having trained for a comeback

Since his defeat to Dustin Pourier in July 2021, The Notorious has not fought

He has been working out hard at the gym since his injury, and he previously talked about his desire to return to the Octagon.

McGregor did tweet, however, Thursday: "Mma! I'll never forget about you!" It was easy work.

The statement received mixed reactions, with some criticizing The Notorious.

One MMA fan stated, "Who cares? Never defended a belt, wouldn't beat top 6 LW division fighters or Volka at FW. Irrelavent in MMA."

Another said: "Easy Work" is big talk for someone who hasn’t won a fight in the past two years. Obama could not say "I am president of the United States" outside of Old Man Cerrone.

Others supported McGregor's decision and wished him well in the future. They also thanked McGregor for his entertainment.

One Twitter user said: "The best thing I've ever done!" No one! Assumed to be number 1 on the everyone list! Let's see what happens when he is no more around We are grateful to Sir for all the memories and inspiration. "I'm Team Mac through and through."

Another fan stated, "He should retire honestly. He has already done everything and doesn't have to fight anymore.

McGregor might be retiring from UFC, but he could still put on the gloves for a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

They are "very close" in their talks to make a multi-million-dollar deal. Money is "willing to risk his unbeaten record."

Jake Paul would rather face McGregor, suggesting that he would put on an even better show than McGregor's 50-0 champion.

He stated that Conor McGregor vs me is a bigger fight than Mayweather.

"We've seen that fight. Conor vs Me will be more competitive, more s*** talk and more entertaining.

"That's what everyone wants."

McGregor may still be able to return to the UFC, as it isn't his first retirement.

The Irishman, who was now famous for his tweet saying "Thanks to the cheese," announced that he would be quitting in April 2016.

He also stated that he was giving up the gloves after losing in October 2018 to Khabib Nurmagomedov and again in June 2020, after discovering UFC didn't excite him.
