TYRON WOODLEY feels immense pressure to beat Jake Paul, a former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping believes.
The UFC Hall-of-Famer and YouTuber will meet up in Cleveland, Ohio on Monday morning.
Jake Paul will take on Tyron Woodley, a former UFC Welterweight Champion.
Woodley, 39 years old, is carrying the weight of the MMA World on his shoulders as he enters his maiden bout after four consecutive losses and Ben Askren's KO loss to The Problem Child.
Bisping enjoys what he has seen about the Missouri mauler's preparations, and told SunSport: "He does seem motivated." I believe that's because he feels the pressure.
He was an outstanding fighter in the UFC and had a tremendous career as champion.
"I assume he will be in the Hall-of-Fame some day, but he has lost his last four.
"I saw some interviews a while back; he fell into a trap that a lot fighters do, a lot athletes do, with overspending money, and things like this.
"I don't know his financial situation but I am sure he is okay. This is all he knows.
"And he's likely training like a madman, because he feels the pressure.
"And there's some assumption on my part because I don't have any idea of his financial situation.
"But it's not a wild theory to believe. This is something he has spoken out about.
He needs it. He must be successful. He's working hard to be successful.
"But all that pressure comes with it.
Woodley appeared a shell in his last forays into UFC's octagon.
Bisping is confident that The Chosen One will return to his gunslinging ways, with all eyes on him.
"Now, as we all know pressure can form diamonds.
"F**king the most cliché thing ever. You know what I mean.
"He could rise to the challenge, and put on the performance that he had always wanted.
"He might leave Jake Paul flat-faced, on the canvas.
It might cause him to freeze. It won't, but I believe we'll see him [perform].
"Because of the Vicente Luque fight he went out and I think that he felt the pressure. He started off hard.
"But that was part his demise. He was too fast and too hot."
Woodley's lucrative payday aside, Woodley is in a losing situation. She should beat Paul combat novice.
Despite Woodley being the underdog against the 3-0 Paul's, Bisping believes that the expectation of winning will be a major factor in the outcome.
He stated, "It's a difficult spot for Tyron. Think about it again. Tyron Woodley was the former champion.
"He used to say that he was one of the greatest fighters of all time. To be fair, he was one of the greatest welterweight champions we had.
"He should beat this guy on paper. This again adds pressure. Tyron is under tremendous pressure.
"And on the flipside, Jake Paul says it's like: "Well, I'm supposed lose."
