‘Never again’ – Leon Edwards reveals blunt conversation with UFC before accepting UFC London headline spot

Leon Edwards Insists on Fighting in UK Time Zone

Leon Edwards made it clear to the UFC that he wouldn't fight on an American time zone on home soil again before accepting a headline spot at UFC London. The Brummie bruiser will be facing Sean Brady at the O2 Arena this Saturday night.

Time Zone Request

Edwards, who lost the welterweight strap to Belal Muhammad in Manchester last July, asked the UFC to fight on a UK time zone. He emphasized the importance of not repeating the early morning fight time catering to North American audiences.

Impact of Late Start Time

Leon Edwards revealed that the late start time played a significant role in his loss of the welterweight title. He described the 4am/5am walkout as chaotic and explained how it affected his performance in the octagon.

Potential Title Shot

An emphatic win over Brady could pave the way for Leon Edwards to earn a second shot at the 170lbs title. However, he might need to secure another victory if undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov recovers from injury.
