PETER QUALLY will be fighting for the lightweight world title in the main event at Bellator Dublin on November 5.
In front of his hometown crowd, the 32-year-old Dubliner will face Patricky 'Pitbull'Freire as the headliner at 3Arena.
Peter Queally will take on Pitbull for the vacant title of lightweight world champion
This announcement is made after Patricky's brother Patricio decided to relinquish his title as lightweight champion.
Queally's fight with Freire was therefore elevated to the main events slot, with the belt now at stake.
Queally, Conor McGregor's trainer (13-5-1) is going into the fight off a two-fight winning streak that included a TKO via doctor stopping win over 'Pitbull,' which was part of the undercard of Bellator 258,
This was his second consecutive defeat.
The title fight has resulted in a reconfiguration of the card with James Gallagher vs Patrick Mix being moved to Queally's headliner.
November 5th will mark the first Bellator fight to Ireland since February 2020. Queally will also be fighting in Ireland for the promotion.
