JOHN FURY revealed that his son Tyson will be moving into MMA once he retires from boxing.
Although the Gypsy King is now 33 years old, his father John says he still has plenty to fight for.
Since February 2020, Tyson Fury is not fighting
Fury Jr. will be back in the ring on October 9, as he faces Deontay Wilder again.
John answered a question about Tyson's performance in MMA during an interview on JOE's Youtube channel. He said that "with the right training, he can do very well."
Tyson's father said that he had seen Tyson excel in wrestling and other sports. From that, I have some idea of Tyson's personality.
Tyson likes to get involved and I know what it's like for him from my childhood.
Believe it or not, he can do more with his hands than his hands. He's also quick and light on his feet. His balance is excellent.
"And I believe if a top MMA coach took him on, he would be able to do great things with him." Ask Darren Till. He's done the work.
Tyson teased a possible appearance in the Octagon in 2019, telling WWE fans at a WWE event that it was his desire to fight in a cage fight.
And dad John said that Tyson likes it rougher.
It brings something we call something new to his job. He has more to work towards and more to address.
"And that's what Tyson wants. He'll likely go to that when he retires from boxing and then return to boxing, whatever it is he does. You'll just have to wait and see if he engages in that.
Fury is an outstanding boxer.
As a professional, he has 30 wins from 31 bouts and one draw.
Fans are desperate for an all-English fight between Tyson and Anthony Joshua, so a switch to MMA is unlikely to happen soon.
John once more chimed in, revealing that Joshua was his target opponent for a fight before the year ends.
