Kai Kara-France brutally knocked CODY GARBRANDT out in his eagerly awaited debut at flyweight.
The former men's bantamweight champion made a 125lb debut early Sunday morning at a UFC 269 card in Las Vegas.
Garbrandt had hoped for a shot at the flyweight belt with a devastating KO win over Kiwi-killer Kara-France.
However, No Love was added to the City Kickboxing standout’s highlight reel in under three minutes.
After his win, Kara-France, a soft-spoken and humble person, called for his chance at Brandon Moreno's title defense against Deiveson Figueiredo.
He stated, "I know that I'm the greatest in the world, and taking out a former champ puts me right in line to win the title shot!"
The pair didn't show any handshakes and ratcheted up their trash talk at the press conference that preceded the fight.
Garbrandt was quick as he worked on the outside, landing some good calf kicks.
Kara-France took a while before she could throw anything other than a few tame leg kicks.
After a few punches by both men, the bout burst into life.
Although Garbrandt was dropped by the diminutive Kara France with an overhand right, the former bantamweight champion quickly rose to his feet.
He was quickly felled by another right-hand as he circled, prompting concern from his side.
Garbrandt managed to get up and walk again, and then he urged Kara-France to keep going.
Kara-France was well and truly lured by Garbrandt's call and was taken down.
Kara-France, a pocket rocket, popped up again and began to stalk his wounded prey.
Garbrandt was hit with a massive uppercut by the CKB-125-pounder, signaling the end of Garbrandt's career. He lost all senses and took several more strikes before Herb Dean stopped proceedings.
