UFC boss Dana White said that Nate Diaz was not to blame for stopping fight with Khamzat Chimaev.

UFC president Dana White doesn't surprise that Nate Diaz didn't attend a showdown against Khamzat Chimaev.

After choking Li Jingliang unconscious at UFC 266, Chimaev, a Russian wrecking machine, made an immediate run for Diaz.

Stockton's slugger stopped a clash between the unbeaten Chechen and he called him a rookie.

White said that Diaz's decision to stop a fight with the 10-0 welterweight was not surprising. He stated to TMZ, "Listen, everyone in this business, every person in this company is here because they belong there."

"There are not any real rookies here.

"There are men with more experience than others.

"Khamzat Chimiev is one those guys who's willing to fight anyone.

"In multiple weight classes. Short notice. He is available to wrestle matches. He'll fight you if it's a match.

"And that's reality. People can spin Khamzat in any way they like -- and I'm not against them."

UFC chief said: "Listen man. Khamzat's a straight killer.

He's a killer. He is an absolute savage. It's not unreasonable for anyone to want to fight Khamzat-Chimaev.

The UFC tried to place Diaz in the cage alongside Chimaev (who only has four fights under his belt). Diaz, 36, felt disregarded.

He stated that he was being attacked by [Chimaev] while I'm thinking, "Hold on, don’t disrespect me like this, trying to fight me with a rookie."

"I'm cool. Four fights were won in the UFC. You can't even mention my name.

"There are many levels to this, and I don’t even want his name to be heard."

UFC brass want Chimaev to be back in action as soon possible. White revealed to Jim Rome that they are working on something.

"Hopefully, this week, we'll be able to find an opponent for him. This guy is not one we want to fight.

"Everybody wants social media to be a place where they can say or do this.

"But, when it comes down to it it, nobody's trying fight Khamzatchimaev. They are not to blame.

"But at the bottom of the day, when you're professional fighter – this is what it takes - you should consider a guy with as many hype and bravado than Chimaev as a huge chance."
