UFC president Dana White has praised CONOR MCGOR for his loyalty before his return to the octagon.

The Irishman, who had a tibia injury against Dustin Poirier in their trio fight at UFC 264, has been out of action since.

The 33-year old is looking to intensify his preparations for an April comeback by returning to full contact sparring.

He will announce his next opponent shortly thereafter.

White previously praised McGregor for his willingness to fight anybody and for overcoming injuries to ensure that his fights were successful.

He now lists the Notorious and Ronda Rousey, a UFC legend, as 'incredibly loyal.

White stated in 'THE FIGHT With Teddy Atlas' that there have been many fighters who have been extremely loyal to him and I've been incredibly loyal.

"Conor McGregor is one of them. Conor is a f ****** handful of boys, but if you look at how fighters are constructed, they're very different from everyone else on the planet.

"The Ronda Rouseys and Chuck Liddells. Matt Hughes, Conor McGregor. I don't want not to mention people, but there have been many fighters over 20 years who have been very loyal."

McGregor has gained a weight of '190lb granite' over his time out, but McGregor will have to trim down to be lightweight when he returns to the UFC.

He is calling for a title shot against Charles Oliveira next season, even though he has only one win at that weight over the past five years.

White refused to rule out McGregor jumpingfrogging Justin Gaethje, a top contender, to fight Oliveira.
