UFC chief Dana White revealed that the promotion are still "working on" Leon Edwards' next fight.
Birmingham's bruiser Edwards was scheduled to fight this weekend in UFC 269 in a grudge bout with MMA star Jorge Masvidal.
Brit Leon Edwards has had bad luck the past two years
The long-awaited meeting of the elite 170-pounders ended in a stalemate last month, when Masvidal pulled out with an injury.
White revealed recently that he was working on "something" for Brit Edwards, a Jamaican-born fighter. However, the UFC brass are yet to decide on a new bout for Rocky.
The UFC 269 prefight press conference was attended by the veteran promoter who told SunSport that "No [there is not update], not yet."
"We are working on fighting all the way to mid-April.
"So, we'll get that figured out soon. Khamzat [Chimaev] also. Yes."
UFC's top brass also said that the promotion's return to London on March 19, is contingent on the UK's 'normalization' of 'Covid restrictions.
He stated, "It's going to depend on how these things play out.
"As long the Covid restrictions remain normal, we can travel internationally other than Abu Dhabi.
"So let's see how it all turns out over the next few months.
"We're talking about new strains of yeast and all that stuff. We'll watch and see what happens."
Edwards, a soft-spoken southpaw, was furious at Masvidal's decision to withdraw from their showdown. This has been more than two years in the making.
ESPN interviewed him and he said: "I have always felt that he is a fake, it's a fraud, you see."
"I knew he was a fake before I entered the fight.
He had a great year, year and half. He had the Till knockout, Ben Askren knockout and that kinda propelled him.
"But aside from that, he's nothing more than a journeyman. He's likely to lose every fight he has.
"But yes, my opinion hasn’t changed much. I knew what it was and now the fans can see it.
"Now it is clear as day that he is not who he pretends he to be."
