UFC star Conor McGregor demonstrates how he handles Hafthor, the Game of Thrones deadlift record holder, while sparring

CONOR McGREGOR is known for his famous claim that "I fear not man" and he proved it when he took on The Mountain in Game of Thrones.

The UFC legend bravely fought against Hafthor, a 6ft 9in Icelandian who weighs in at a staggering 400 pounds and once deadlifted a record 501kg!

The UFC star was dwarfed by the Icelandic strongman.

McGregor was put through the paces by Chad Mendes, World's Strongest Man winner. They moved in a body spar.

However, 'Thor', who played The Mountain on the hit HBO series, may draw upon the lessons he learned from the UFC fighter against him when he faces Devon Larratt, an arm-wrestling champion in the boxing arena on September 18.

McGregor, who was 145lbs at the time he sparred Bjornsson, stood at 5ft 7in and was dwarfed at his feet by Thor as he attempted to land some cheeky body shots.

Thor was able to control his movements as he tried desperately to squeeze the Irishman between his bulging biceps.

McGregor claimed that he could have defeated him in seconds after their meeting.

Conor McGregor even managed a cheeky kick during the sparring.

He spoke to Off the Ball on YouTube and said, "Bring me shorts, and put us into a cage. And I'll fight him again."

Thor, who lost the World's Strongest Man title to him in 2019, said that it would be over "in ten seconds" if he could grab hold of the Irishman.

McGregor replied that it would take five McGregors to defeat him.

McGregor, however, recalled a different version when McGregor was asked about the sparring sessions.

He said: "[I] said,] Let's make a cool photo like this.

"We squared up as if it was our intention to do it.

"Then, all of a sudden he started bouncing and me bouncing.

"Nature will tell you that we are having a full, nakedknuckle body shotfight."

He said, "I was hitting hard on some shots.

"I had to hit him with some shots. He tried to hit me too.

He wasn't going to take it easy. He grabbed me and tried pulling my head off.

After Conor McGregor asked for a photo, the pair fought.

"I defended, liberated the head. I felt like this motherf ***** was so large, I had to smash him to the ground."

Despite their differences in size, the former featherweight and lightweight champion claimed that he "folded up" his opponent.

He stated that it was great fun. He's tall at 6ft 9ins and 400 pounds. He was still in my arms when I folded him up."
