"Who the F*** is this?" - Canelo and Kamaru Alvarez in Twitter row. UFC champ laughs at boxing king's call out

CANELO ALVAREZ is embroiled in a verbal battle with UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Uman.

After Ali Abdelaziz, Usman's manager, claimed that boxing's pound for pound king was too afraid to participate in a cross-over bout, the bizarre Twitter exchange ensued.

They recently engaged in a Twitter war of words

Canelo, who is preparing for a light-heavyweight fight with Dmitry Bivol, was stunned and replied: "Who is the f***?"

Usman added, "Let's all just relax...before anybody gets hurt."

Canelo, the undisputed super-middleweight king, tweeted Usman's reply and said: "I agree cuz that will not be my."

UFC's first African champion replied to the challenge by saying, "In the cage of the ring I'm willing to find out in both... Aren't you?"

Canelo was stunned by Usman's call out, which he believes was motivated solely by financial gain.

He said, "You're calling me out, right?" He asked: "You want the payday, right?"

"So you think you know where to go, but it's not your turn. I still have a legacy to leave."

Usman understood Canelo’s last reply as an admission that he wasn’t keen to fight.

He said, "Enough said...you don't want to smoke in a fight."

"I hear you!" "Good luck, champ."

Usman had his sights set on Canelo's fight late last year, and he reiterated his desire to box the Mexican fighter a few weeks later after his UFC 268 win over Colby Covington.

However, his motivations to fight for the future hall of famer are not financial.

SunSport recently heard from him that "the more it scares you, the more I'm willing prepare and endure [hell] to get it."

Kamaru Usman is positive that he will beat Canelo

It's not surprising. Canelo is tall for anyone - tall pint.

It scares my to death. The real reason I want to fight is that I was a welterweight champion and I have it.

"I wanted to be pound for pound. I got it. This phrase has always been special to me, and the phrase I want now is: "The Face of the Fight Game".

"And Canelo can't right now say [he's face of the fight]

"Yeah, he is the face and face of boxing. But he cannot say that he is the face and face of the fight sport.
